NUJ Directs Members to Fully Participate in NLC Strike

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has directed all its State Councils to fully participate in the proposed nationwide industrial action directed by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) from Monday.

A statement by the Secretary of the Union advised state council leaderships to identify journalists that would cover the strike period.

The union directed members to fully participate in the strike until directed otherwise by the NLC.

This was coming as the meeting between the NLC and the FG ended in deadlock during the week.

Meanwhile, the FG has again acquired a second court order restraining the Union from the strike, a move which the NLC said was not going to intimidate or stop them from embarking on the strike.
