Ondo 2020: INEC Distributes Sensitive Materials Amid Tight Security

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced distribution of sensitive materials to various Local Government Areas across Ondo state in preparation for Saturday October 10 Governorship election in the state.

Heavy security presence was noticed on all roads leading to the Akure office of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Representatives of political parties were present to keep an eye on the distribution, which some party officials have described as “satisfactory so far”.

Ondo governorship election is being keenly contested, especially by the two leading political parties in the state – APC, the incumbent, as well as the PDP, the party wrestling for power.
